Keystone Colorado Part one
We took our first family vacation as a family of 4! Mike and I are both so excited to have our kids go on trips and become great travelers. This trip was filled with firsts for Stone, he was a little overwhelmed. He got to fly on an airplane, ride a bus, ride a train, ski, take a gondola, take a snow-cat ride, oh and ice skate. But if you ask him, he will tell you he got to walk on the moving floor, that would be the moving walkways at the airport. Hahaha!
Stone was a natural on the slopes. We were not able to sign him up for the ski school because you have to be 3 years old. So Mike just took him to the bunny slope. Even some ski instructors were commenting on how well he was doing for only being 2. Oh yes and he thinks that we have a new house in Colorado and that is where his skis are.

7 weeks old today
Wow, is time flying or what. That dreaded day of returning to work is quickly approaching and I am dreading it. Torsten has been such a joy these past 7 weeks and not much more I could ask for from a baby (well except for the sleep issue). He is such a chunky monkey and I still just love it. He loves to eat and basically the only time you hear him fuss is when it is bottle time. Torsten is also still such a mama's boy. Stone never was, so this is a major adjustment for me. I love being able to feel him relax just because mama picks him up and snuggles for a bit.

Brothers
These two boys are so enthralled with each other, it amazes me. Torsten is always perking up if he heres Stone in the room, and Stone is obsessed with Torsten as well. So tonight, Stone wanted Torsten to watch a movie before bed. Pictures like this just remind me how lucky I am to be these boys' mommy!

My monkeys!
I just had to dress them in matching jammies, just because I am Mommy and they are too young to fight me on it yet. They got a couple matching sets for Christmas and looked so cute today. Stone actually thinks it is so cool for Torsten to have on matching jammies, so he was happy to let me snap up some pictures of them today.

I DID IT!!!
Mommy had a huge accomplishment today! I actually got up, showered, dressed, Stone showered, both boys dressed, diaper bag packed, stroller loaded, and out the door on time! I had my 4 week check up today at 9:20 and I have been worried about making it there on time for the entire week prior. It was a little hectic, and I did not really have any minutes to spare, but I did it. As a reward, I treated myself to a little lunch and shopping with Aunt Nee Nee afterwards. Go Mommy!!!

Torsten is one month old!!!
Wow, time is flying by and I want it to slow down! My baby is a month old already, I can't believe it. He really is a good baby and I am loving being a mommy to these two amazing boys. Stone is still crazy about his brother too. I thought that the interest in him would die down, but still going strong a month later. He is really a mama's boy, which is totally new territory for me. Stone would let anyone comfort him, we never had stranger anxiety or anything. Not Torsten, he can be fussing, give him to Mommy and he will be calmed down (if not asleep) in minutes.
Eating: He is now finishing 6 ounce bottles occasionally. I usually try to fill him up on his last bottle of the evening which is around 8 or 9. The rest of the time, he is downing 4 ounces and only lasting 2 1/2 hours until the next feeding. I think when I finish out these 4 ounce bottle liners, I will just stop using the little bottles.
Sleeping: Still waking up once a night, ugh! Usually he goes to bed around 8:00, wakes up at 2:30-3:00 and then back down until morning. The problem we have had occasionally, is when he falls asleep earlier than 8 and when he wakes at 2:30 or 3:00, he thinks he is up for the day. He does not understand that Mommy is not ready to be up for the day at that time! I joke that he is not as good of a sleeper as his brother, because he slept all night on his one month birthday. Hey, a mommy can hope, right? I know I should not complain, but really that interruption in sleep can be really draining on mommy.
Activity: I have noticed the past couple of days that he is really becoming more awake/alert alot more through out the day. He just looks around with this confused look on his face. He loves loves loves his swing, more than I can even describe with words. We have already went through a set of batteries in a months time. If Torsten is fussing and nothing can calm him down (including mommy) then that means he is wanting swing time. Put him in there and he is happy as can be! Oh and do not dare take him out before he is ready or watch out!

My boys!!!
We are off to Gaga and Papa's to watch the first supercross race of the season. Both boys just looked so cute, I had to try and snap up some pictures. Stone was determined not to let mommy get a good picture though, he said he did not feel like having a picture taken. Silly boy, like that is going to stop mommy!

Tummy Time
Torsten has not been too thrilled at tummy time, flat on the blanket. So today I tried propping him up on the boppy. He loved it, lifting his little head to look around the room. Stone thought he needed to be propped up with the boppy too and show him how to do it, silly boy!
He got tired easily, I forget that it is a lot of work for him to lift his head like that. I just wanted to keep snapping up cute pictures of him!

Thank you OOF!!!
I know I have mentioned them before, but I am so lucky to be a part of such a wonderful mommy board. These girls are truly the best and have become such a huge part of my life and my kids' as well. Sometimes I say that they know more about my kids than some of our family does. Today I received a package in the mail....the cutest little blanket for Torsten. Unfortunately he would not wake up long enough for me to get a picture, so I had to take some with him snoozing.
Snow day!
Not that is mattered to me and the boys, but today was a snow day for daddy. We actually got around 5 inches and around here, things slow down with that amount. Last night we discovered that some pipes busted in our back bathroom, flooding the back bathroom, garage, office, and sunroom. So between that and the snow, Mike called in and stayed at home. Stone wanted to help Mike, but with the temperatures, we did not want him getting sick so we said no.
However, he did get to help with one thing... clearing the driveway and sidewalk. I always enjoy watching him act like such a little man when he is helping daddy. He just grinned and acted like the cold snow did not bother him one bit. He is such a cutie!
