Great Grandma's 80th birthday!

Today was Great Grandma Sally's 80th birthday and we all celebrated with dinner and cake up at The Stables. It was nice getting together, but Stone was none too thrilled with the slow wait staff. Didn't they know he needed to eat and get home to his pool? Hahaha!!!

We are SWIMMING!!!!

It is official, pool is open and ready to be used. Well, the water is still a little cold because this weird weather we have been having. That does not stop Stone though, as I said, he is a little fish. He even took his water wings to Leta's and wore them all day waiting to go home and swim. Gosh, I love this kid!!!!

At least he is trying...

right??? Somehow, he must not pay attention when I dress him every morning and evening. Tonight, he was ready for his jammies and wanted to put them on himself. Too bad he was trying to put his shirt on his bottom half. It was too cute when he could not figure out why this was not working.

Filling Up

We are finally putting water in the pool. Unfortunately the process is not going fast enough for Stone. He had to put on his swim trunks and get in to a half full pool with daddy. Stone is a little fish, it is hard to keep him out of the water.

Sometimes.....

it is fun to put birthday candles on a cake and sing happy birthday just to hear your little guy's sweet giggle. There is no better sound!

it is ok to go to bed dirty, that way you can remember how much fun you had the night before when you look in the mirror. Baths can be taken in the morning too, right???

you just have to let the little man get wet, so that he learns that hoses do not make warm water like showers/baths. Once the wet clothes were off, all was better in the world!

What a fun evening with Stone tonight. He is just so excited to get this pool done!

Flashback

I walked in and Stone was napping in the guest bed, all snuggled up in his boppy. It was such a flashback to many nights during that first couple months when he always wanted to sleep that way. Especially his first night home!!!

Pool Update!!!

The room is off! Now we have to figure out what to do with the posts that are fixed into the concrete of the patio. We are leaning towards a pergola since there really is no shade whatsoever back there. Oh and the roof, the wonderful fabulous roof that has FIVE layers of shingles on it. Ummm yeah, that was not caught in the home inspection and the legal limit is THREE! So we have a nice bowing roof now, but lack the 10000 + it would take to fix all of that mess this year. Maybe we should charge admission for anyone that wants to come swim, huh?!?!

So back to the most important part, my baby, the pool! We have it drained, they are coming to paint/seal it tomorrow. Then we can start filling next Tuesday. Yay, it is coming along! Stone will sure miss the little froggies that are all over in the pool right now. He loves to watch those little guys.

4th of July cookout, a day late.

We went out to Uncle Gary and Aunt Sandi's campground for a belated 4th cookout. All of us were up in Michigan on the 4th and apparently it rained all day at home so it worked out for everyone. Stone and Elizabeth took turns driving the golf cart around. Oh and Stone got to continue with his new fascination of peeing outdoors.

RED BUD

This weekend was Blake's first race at a pro-national motocross. This is the big time people, the best in the world race this circuit. These guys are FAST!!! Stone was enthralled the entire weekend. Nothing better than motorcycles and helicopters flying overhead all day long.

It's a BOY!!!!

We are so excited for our baby to have an identity. I knew it was a boy from the moment I saw that positive pregnancy test. Torsten Robert will be joining us mid-December and I cannot wait! I am so excited to see that brotherly bond between Stone and Torsten. The sonographer was shocked that I was so excited that I was having another boy, but seriously the sex did not matter one bit to me. He appears healthy, and a little stubborn, and we will take it!!!
