Stone actually prepared dinner for mommy last night. It was so sweet and thoughtful, except for the fact that Mommy can barely fit in the booth. Stone kept saying "sit mommy, sit!" He just did not understand it was a booth made for 2-5 year olds and stuffed animals!

Date Night!!!

WOW!
That was our word for the day! Started first thing when Stone woke up and seen his diner sitting in our living room. Then it happened when he spotted his racing ramps garage, then again when he saw his little people airport. This has to be the best Christmas ever, I never knew you could get this much joy from watching a little boy see his toys!
Merry Christmas everyone, hope your holidays were as happy as ours!!!!!

25 days of Christmas, Day 24
Yay, it is Christmas Eve. Today there are actually several activities. First one Stone got to do is open a gift from Mommy and Daddy! He got a new pair of snowman jammies to wear tonight and a Christmas book to read before bed. Second activity was putting out cookies for Santa! This year we actually left him some magic bars, how perfect since Santa is so magical! Finally we got all cuddly in our warm jammies (fresh from the dryer) and read our new Christmas book, a peakaboo book. It was a big hit, we actually read it several times. Then it was off to bed so Santa could do his work!

25 Days of Christmas, Day 23
Today's activity was watching a Christmas movie. We ended up watching The Grinch, but it only kept Stone's attention while he was in the seat drinking more hot cocoa. This boy is just not really into T.V. all that much.

25 Days of Christmas, Day 22
Today's activity was listening to Christmas music. There are two radio stations that only play Christmas songs right now. I was really surprised, Stone just does not seem into it this year. He usually loves music, but he was not having the Chritmas songs.

25 Days of Christmas, Day 21
Todays activity was drinking Hot Cocoa. Mmmm, was the only noise coming out of Stone's mouth. He really loves the marshmallows as they are melting in the hot cocoa too! I love the pictures, his little mouth has a chocoalte ring around it. Apparently I was too slow after a while. He would grab my hand pulling the spoon to his mouth saying "bite, hot cocoa mama!" Too cute!

25 Days of Christmas, Day 20
Today we got to deliver our presents for D, the little boy we chose from the tree of wishes. Stone did so good giving the presents to the workers, never trying to keep them for himself. This little boy really tugged at my heart when we were picking a boy. I made sure he was Stone's age and his wants for Christmas: jammies and a blanket. Awwww!
So we got him a cool fire truck heavy fleece blanket, Carter's blanket sleepers, sweatpants and sweatshirt, Mr. Potato head, a toothbrush and toothpaste. This has probably been the most rewarding activity yet!

25 Days of Christmas, Day 19
Today was probably the coolest activity yet. We were to drop some money in the salvation army bucket. Well, we had to go down to St. Louis for Christmas pictures, so I was wondering when we would fit in the bell ringer. As it turned out Fredbird (the Cardinal's mascot) was doing a special bell ringing outside our photography studio. Fredbird saw Stone checking him out and immediately swooped him up out of his stroller. Needless to say, first picture shows Stone making sure a bird is actually holding him, then he freaks out, then Mommy gets in the picture and that makes it a little better. Then the bird pretended to sit in Stone's stroller and drink from Stone's sippy. Silly bird!!!!
Oh and the money, Stone was so traumatized by the bird holding incident, he could not put the money in the bucket. So mommy had to do it.

25 Days of Christmas, Day 18
Today's activity was wrapping a present for Daddy. To tell the truth, he had drew this activity earlier on and we did not have a gift yet. So I threw the activity back into the can and the second time he drew it we actually had a gift. So Stone and I have it all wrapped and it is the only present under the tree right now.

25 Days of Christmas, Day 17
Today's activity was to drive around and look at lights. Stone prefers pine trees covered in lights, big Christmas trees. Oh, but he does like the blow up Santa's too! We always have to go by the square and look at the Christmas trees, snow flakes, and snowmen.

25 Days of Christmas, Day 16
Today's activity was eat a christmas cookie. Not a hard task at all consiering we have almost 8 dozen sitting on the counter. The one Stone chose....a chocolate sandwich cookie that Alana had made. Besides the obvious reasons like it is chocolate and icing, I think he likes it because it is soft and easy for a teething child to bite.

25 Days of Christmas, Day 13
Today's activity was buying presents for Macy and Ivy (Gaga's dogs). We already had plans to go to Litchfield to be fitted for my bridesmaid dress, so our shopping options were limited. We stopped at the dollar store. Stone found a couple toys, but not what he originally said he wanted. So we did not get them (they were really cheap toys). He wants to get Ivy a ball and Macy a snowman, came right out of his mouth!

25 days of Christmas, Day 12
Today's activity was mailing a letter to Santa. Well, we actually ended up with 2 letters, but only one got mailed. In the morning I let Stone get out the markers and we "wrote" our letter to the man in the red suit. Then after work/daycare we went to Macy's to mail it. There we found out that you have to use their postcard and we re-wrote our letter. Put a stamp on it and Stone sent it on its way!
It is a really cool thing Macy's is doing this year. For every letter sent to Santa, they donate a dollar to the make a wish foundation. Oh and Stone wanted the same thing, both letters, a DOG. hahahahahahaha
Pictures to come later, the batteries were dead in my camera.

25 Days of Christmas, Day 11
Today's activity was going Christmas shopping. Perfect activity considering mommy was off work! Well, our shopping trip ended up unsuccessful (we were looking for a present for Daddy). But we had fun, none the less! Sorry, no pictures of our shopping trip.

Tickle and gigglefest 2008
This morning, Stone and I had the best time having a tickle and gigglefest! I seriously contemplated calling off work just so we could continue all day. I could just eat up his laughter, it is the sweetest sound next to him saying "mama."
25 Days of Christmas, Day 10
So today Stone drew coloring a Christmas page. I had printed off three options, a bow, a bell, and a Christmas tree. Of course it was a no brainer, he is obsessed with Christmas trees. So we colored the page with washable markers. Mommy had to do a little coloring so Stone got the idea, but added the extra flair to the project. Oh but it ended quite abruptly when he realized he had marker on his hands and it was making him gag. My little boy does not like dirty hands!!!

25 Days of Christmas, Day 9
Tonight was cookie cutter night. We took a pie crust, brushed it with melted butter and sprinkled cinnamon and sugar all over it. Then we took mini Christmas cookie cutouts and cut out all kinds of shapes. Baked for 13 minutes and had cinnamon crisps for dessert. Oh I would go a little less on time, they were a little too done. Stone still had fun though and that it the point!

Thank you Secret Santa
Each year my mommy board does a secret santa exchange. It is so much fun wondering who has you and shopping for the person you get. So this year we were so lucky to have the most awesome Secret Santa ever, Stella and Elena. Check out all the stuff Stone got: Melissa and Doug wooden puzzle (his first puzzle), a 2 cd of kids music, a beautiful edition of the Christmas Story, stickers, oh and she sent mommy some yummy candy sticks. Stone and I cannot thank them enough!!!!
25 Days of Christmas, Day 8
Reindeer painting! One of the very creative mommies from my mommy board shared her idea and I went with it. I did not have high expectations, last time we had paint touch the skin there was a lot of gagging and vomitting. So we did this craft out in the sunroom! Stone did amazingly well with paint on his feet, but got a little grossed out with paint on his thumbs. I even let him hold the brush with me when we did the antlers, eyes, and date. Of course it did not turn out as pretty, but it is more his style these days, Unique for this year.
Pictures will come tomorrow, I cannot find my hot glue gun from the move, so I have to go buy one.

Our Christmas Tree!
25 Days of Christmas, Day 7
PANCAKES!!! Today was having pancakes for breakfast. Not just any pancakes though, these were special holiday cakes. The restaurant here in town makes them for the holiday season. Each one had a different design: a snowman, christmas tree, santa, and wreath. Stone thought they were so yummy and Mommy loved that she did not have to cook them!
Then we came home and worked on pictures for our Christmas card. I thought he was hard to take pictures of last year, whoa, he wore me out!

25 Days of Christmas, Day 6
Today's christmas activity was picking out an ornament. Originally I had plans of taking him to Hallmark, but then the realization of him going crazy in a store full of breakables started to make me a little nervous. So we went to Meijer to their "special" ornament section. There was an entire display of different ornaments, I thought it would take a while for him to decide. I was completely wrong, once his eyes became locked on that green John Deere tractor ornament, it was over. He was not even going to entertain the thought of another ornament for his tree.
So I gave him the box of the John Deere and he threw a fit. He wanted the display ornament, not a box, so I had to open the box and show him there was a tractor in there. We came home, snapped a few pictures and hung it on the tree.

25 Days of Christmas, Day 5
Well again tonight we did not draw a christmas activity, because there was already one planned. Our town had the Christmas on the square festival. Santa comes in on a sleigh, there is pizza, cookies, and a Christmas tree auction. Stone sat on Santa's lap and I got the cutest picture, however, I cannot post it because it is a polaroid. Who knew they even made those still? Then Santa gave him a great goodie bag filled with stickers, notpads, erasers, and candy. Even though it was only 19 degrees outside, Stone threw an absolute fit when Mommy made the call to leave the festival early. This kid loves Christmas!!!!

25 Days of Christmas, Day 4
So today we did not draw an activity. I already had 2 Christmas related things to do with Stone tonight. FIrst we went to my Longaberger consultant's house for a holiday party. Stone got to partake in some Holiday treats and browse the gifts. Then we headed out to find a stocking holder. We found an adorable one that says JOY, which sums up what Stone is to us. He is truly the joy in our lives!

25 days of Christmas, Day 2
Tonight's activity kind of followed along last nights and actually it was not a planned activity. Stone thought of it himself, believe it or not. Tonight I was fighting him to leave Leta's (he was not having it) so I tried my usual trick of "want to go see GaGa and Papa?" Well tonight I got a defiant "NO!" Next I asked if he wanted to see Dada, NO! Well when I got to Uncle B, Stone's answer was "Cookies? B...Cookies?" So I asked if he wanted to take B some cookies and I got his little giggle that means YES!
So Stone decided that Day 2 would be delivering cookies to family members. First we hit Uncle B and Aunt Abby, then Gaga and Papa, and Uncle Gary and Aunt Sandi were there to eat some too.

25 Days of Christmas, Day 1
Today is day one of our 25 activities. Originally I had planned it out for each day, then I decided I would write down the activities and we would draw out one for that day. Today we decided to make cookies. Stone loves sitting on the counter and licking the "brownie licker" (those of you that know me know what that is) or spatula as normal people would call it. Mike is paranoid about Stone licking anything with raw eggs in it, but hey, I grew up licking the beaters and I survived!
So by the end of the evening we had several dozen chocolate chip cookies and one messy faced boy! I forgot to take any pictures of him though, bad mommy!!!!
