Wedding Showers season

Stone got to attend his first wedding shower for Aunt Abby. He was the only boy there and received plenty of attention! We have another one for her in 2 weeks so he will be a pro for that one.

Movin on up!

We made the big switch to the big carseat today! Stone has hated the infant seat since the day we brought him home from the hospital. Our car rides consisted of crying and screaming 90% of the time. Since making the switch to the Marathon, he has not made one peep! Mommy should have done this sooner.

Bathin Baby!

Well, I caved in and got Stone a new tub. This thing is top of the line in baby bath tubs. Well, Stone quickly gave it rave reviews. The good thing is that he can use it up to 2 years. It is huge, barely fitting into our tub.

Happy Half Birthday Stone!

Wow, I cannot believe that my "new" baby is 1/2 year old. Where did those 6 months go???? He is just so much fun right now and learning new things everyday. Our pedi visit when good. He is 19lbs 10 oz, 27 inches long and he handled his shots like a little man. OK, so there were a few tears, but with Daddy coming home tonight, they will quickly be forgotten!

More of Mama's cookin!

Sunday is now football day for Daddy, so I decided to make it cooking day for Mommy. I made pumpkin, pears, pluots, butternut squash, and yellow squash. The house smelled yummy! The 6 month mark is quickly approaching, so I need to get some fruits into the freezer!

Warning: never leave Stone and a blanket unattended!

This is the result of leaving Stone "playing" on the blanket while I was washing bottles. Freaked us both out, he could not get himself out and it even took me a while to get him unwrapped.

Thanks to Erica & Lillia!!!!

For making my boy the best dressed in the area! Stone looked so cute in his outfit for his cousin Elizabeth's first birthday!

Avocado is a no no!

Stone's faces in the pictures tells then entire story. Picture one he is excited for his first bite. Picture 2 is ooh, what the heck is that? Picture 3 is that is so nasty, I am gagging!

Nighty night!

After all the work from swim lessons, Stone and Moto bear crashed out a little eary in the swing (7:30 pm) He looked so cute snuggling with Moto, that mommy just had to share the picture.

My little swimmer!

Stone had his first swim lesson tonight. It was so much fun! Everything is done to songs. First we did the wash song, then we worked on kicking (motorboat), then we worked on blowing bubbles, then it was onto doggie paddle (reaching for the rubber ducky), humpty dumpty ("jumping" into the water) and then it was laying on our backs (twinkle twinkle little star). Stone enjoyed every part and asked daddy if we could have a pool at the new house :)

Uncle Blake is famous....

in the district 17 magazine. Stone loves to read Uncle Blake's race recaps when Daddy gets it in the mail. Mommy likes it because when Stone is done reading he just tears it up so we have to throw it away. Daddy's magazine collection might start dwindling down!

Carrots....from a jar

Well, due to nitrate issues, Mommy decided that we would give Stone carrots from a jar until he was 8 months old. Stone decided that they were not quite as tasty as Mommy's cookin, but they were a lot more fun to mess with. We smeared them all over his tray, face, hair, outfit, etc. It was lovely!

I am just so in love!

As I sit here updating my blog, pictures, etc. I am reminded of how truly blessed Mike and I are to have this beautiful little boy! He is truly brings us so much joy, love, and true happiness. He has such a good personality, dreamy eyes, and quite the contagious smile. I seriously could not ask for a better baby, he has slept all night since 9 weeks, has eaten everything we have given him, and rarely cries or fusses unless something is wrong. I cannot wait to see what the future holds for my amazing little man!

Stone's Beary Loved!

Aunt Lindsey made Stone a bear at Build-a-bear before he was born. She recorded a saying in it that says "Aunt Lindsey loves you Stone." This bear has always been in the crib with him. Well, lately when he wakes up in the morning, he scoots down to the corner where the bear is and is hugging the bear by the time I get in there. This bear will bring a smile to his face at all times, it is so cute.

My favorite Chicken!

I actually got Stone this outfit before he was born. I just tried him on it and hope it still fits at Halloween!

Sweet Potatoe Lovin!

Stone finally graduated to orange veggies. The first one he is tried was Sweet Potatoes. OMG, he LOVED them. He ate 2 cubes of food and then wanted the bowl to try and get more out of it. My little piggy!

Zucchini & rice

After seeing how watery the zucchini was, I decided to mix it up with some rice cereal. Stone definatly preferred it that way. He finished the entire bowl and I think it stayed with him a lot better. He was not hungry for quite a while after dinner. I am so thankful that I do not have a picky eater. He has not turned down one meal yet. Oh, and we also started the sippy cup today. He has not quite grasped the concept of it yet, but it gave him something to play with while eating.

Mommy Lessons

Stone is not the only one learning new things right now. Mommy just learned a new lesson also. Never buy clothes before the baby is born. I splurged the day after we found out it was a boy and bought this adorable outfit (for the sweet price of $45). Well, my little chunky monkey decided that he would be a that size during the summer. Oh well, live and learn (and keep the outfit for the next baby).
